i turn my camera on

with 2 comments

I was ecstatic when I heard Rock Kills Kid cover I Turn My Camera On!  Who knew?  Maybe if I watched more mindless TV, I would be hip.  I have enjoyed both of these bands live (RKK  at a radio studio acoustic recording, and Spoonduring an Atlanta show)…lucky me!  Both bands are infinitely better live, even though I adore their recorded songs.  So that’s saying a lot, I think.

Have a listen.  Happy weekend!

from my hometown.

I live real close to Seattle….music capital of the country.  But I have to say that there are some fine artists coming out of my hometown, Atlanta.  I have always enjoyed the music community there and was real happy to receive this CD in the mail earlier this month.  If you have not heard of Meghan Coffee, you should visit her website and listen in.  My favorite from her record “Songs to Sail By”
is the song “Jericho.”

Let me know what you think. :)

never too busy to enjoy some good music.

while this past week has been one of the best i’ve had in a long time, it’s also been one of the busiest, so i have not had much time to post.

i did want to share this band with everyone, though. heard them at the farmer’s market yesterday and just had to go home and do some good google research. i could only find a myspace page, but how awesome is this?
