This past week was rather dark for me. Not just figuratively, but also literally. The sun has returned, which has every living being in Seattle letting out a huge sigh of relief.
I want to shoot like this and with this.

I have always had an odd obsession with rocks, which is why I was pretty sure that Arizona was The Promised Land in 1990 when I first visited. I bought this fantastical piece of jewelry at the touristy-rock shop in Whistler, BC when I was there on vacation. I started drooling over some more pieces today.

Southern Cocktails : A recipe book I would recommend completely. A friend gave me this book for Christmas after we spent nearly an entire year testing out the amazing recipes. There is not a single cocktail or food recipe in this book that has NOT blown me away. If you miss the South, love the South or just love food…you should really mix up something from this book.
Dammit, I’m quoting again. I can’t tell you how many times this phrase would grind on my nerves in design school. I’m always stalking photography blogs and I feel like it is rare to find someone who is doing things that are DIFFERENT. I firmly believe that there is nothing new under the sun and that we are all inspired by eachother, but it is so refreshing to see someone take all of that inspiration and give it their own twist.

These photos by Max Wagner are what is inspiring me today. I don’t fully know what is going on here…but whether it be a mural on the wall or a photoshop trick, I truly love these photos.
Yes, I am kind of singing Lady Gaga. But no, I’m pretty speechless. Amused by the fact that you can type “why can’t i” into Google and the auto-fill gives you the option: Why Can’t I Own A Canadian; I tried it out today. It’s true. Do it. Even more intrigued by the fact that there is an actual article with this title, I clicked on it. SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A JOKE.
Good Lord. This is why I am highly skeptical of organized religion.

I am trying hard to love Mondays, but it’s so hard.
How to Love Monday:
*New musics. *Back to the gym! *Reading over breakfast coffee. *Working over cup #2 of coffee. *Daydreaming about spring. *Feeling accomplished for healthy adult breakfast. *No-pants day. *Scheming new travel plans. *Catching up on reading blogs!
So lazy, you would not believe.

I watched Ghost again for the first time in a very long time. I think everyone should watch this again and then try to describe it to someone. Listen to yourself, it’s absolutely absurd and hysterical. Maybe a glass of wine will help inspire you.

It Might Get Loud, a documentary about the electric guitar with Jack White, Jimmy Page and The Edge. I love guitars, I can’t help myself…so yeah. Watch it.
Just read ///

I’m on a Zadie Smith reading kick. I absolutely love the way she writes, so I continue to add her books to my reading list.
