The Day I Caught a Bunny

I have been rather absent lately. It is partially because of this little guy, but also because I have been living a series of Perfect Sunny Days. There are so few sunny days in the Pacific Northwest that you absolutley must take advantage of every ray of sunshine.
One day last week, I was in my kitchen and took a peek in the backyard to find this adorable bunny roaming around. I thought that the second I opened the back door, that fuzzy ball of cute would run off into the bushes. Actually, no. He was very friendly and wanted to meet me. I played with the idea of catching him, but was unsure if he was tame.
The next day was one of those Perfect Sunny Days where I found myself on a patio eating lunch with fabulous friends. I came home in a rush to pick up some food I had prepared for a baby shower and saw that same bunny in the backyard! I had a choice. Make it to the baby shower on time with goodies in hand, or catch a bunny. Clearly, you all know what I decided to do.
I was 30 minutes late to the baby shower that I helped give. But I had a bunny, and nobody can be mad at you for this.
He does not yet have a name. He is Bunny. And no, I am not sure it is a “he.”
making me giggle on a friday.
It’s a wonderful Friday! It is nearly in the 70s, I am in a sundress, I have curly hair (thanks to my hair stylist…I am far too lazy to accomplish this myself) AND I ATE CHEETOS. Rock on, Sunny Day.
I flipped through this book while I was waiting for my french press Stumptown this morning. How entertaining! A substitute teacher in LA was required to collect highschool notes and this book is the result of a creative obsession. Love it. [Dear New Girl Or Whatever Your Name Is by Lisa Wagner]
